Cinnamon
If you only enjoy cinnamon during the winter holidays, now is your chance to celebrate no matter what time of year it is! Cinnamon is one of the oldest spices in the world. The Portuguese explorer, Vasco da Gama was the first to introduce cinnamon to the European world, obviously for us to use on chocolate bars.
Fleur de Sel (Sea Salt)
This white “gold” celebrates its comeback with chocri! We source our fleur de sel from Portugal, so strictly speaking it is "Flor de Sal". Both terms mean "Flower of Salt", and this hand-harvested sea salt is one of the most expensive. It is collected by workers in the Atlantic in so-called "salt pans". If you look at a big heap of fleur de sel, it is often slightly grey because of the minerals contained in it. Most importantly though, it will taste fantastic on your chocolate bar.
Pecans
And yet another delicious possibility – the pecan comes from South America and has been eaten for centuries. It has a similar taste to the walnut, though a bit milder. The pecan tree is the national tree in Texas and is eaten by astronauts to calm nerves when flying in outer space. Quite an important job for a little nut like the pecan! In the future, we will certainly produce pecan chocri for all of our space-traveling clients.
Coconut Flakes
Coconut shavings are the ultimate summer topping for your chocolate. It’s truly a killer ingredient - approximately 150 people are hit by falling coconuts every year. But we love them anyway, they taste too good not to forgive them!
Mini Cookies
These crunchy mini cookies (European style) add a fun factor to your chocolate bars. So delicious!
