Macadamia Nuts
The macadamia nut is often described as the most delicious nut in the world. Although it originates in Australia, most macadamia nuts are currently produced in Hawaii. Production is complex; collected after they fall to the ground and are then dried for several months, macadamia nuts require lots of TLC (tender loving care), and therefore they are also the most expensive nuts. You won’t want to miss them – especially when lightly salted! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the king of nuts!
Coconut Flakes
Coconut shavings are the ultimate summer topping for your chocolate. It’s truly a killer ingredient - approximately 150 people are hit by falling coconuts every year. But we love them anyway, they taste too good not to forgive them!
Bourbon Vanilla
Vanilla and Chocolate have a lot in common. Both are very demanding plants in cultivation and harvest, making vanilla the second most expensive spice after Saffron. Also, among the early fans of Vanilla were the Aztecs, who named it “black flower”. We at chocri use only the best kind of vanilla: real Bourbon Vanilla, which is only grown on Indian Ocean Islands such as Madagascar, the Comoros and Réunion, formerly the Île Bourbon.
